Love and Other Tall Tales

Love was in the air at the Third Streets Writers’ quarterly reading event, Love and Other Tall Tales, held at the Susi Q Community Center, on February 11. Third Street Treasurer Victoria Kertz served as emcee for the standing room-only event while members read short stories and personal essays, performed screenplays, and closed with an original song.

The Poet Laureate of Laguna Beach, John Gardiner, kicked off the open mic portion of the evening with several poems, followed by local authors Mary Minerman, Eileen Keighley, and Jean Ardell who read excerpts from their recently published books and from works in progress.
